The Electronic Recycling Program began June 1, 2006.
Pennsylvania State law now requires recycling of electronic consumer products. These items consist of computers, televisions, cell phones and electronic games or devices, or specifically items that are smaller than 18" x 12" x 12" and weigh less than fifty (50) pounds.
All residents must call Borough Hall at 215-443-9100 when they want to dispose of electronic consumer products and schedule a pickup. The electronic products will be picked up on the same day as bulk trash collection days which are the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month. The small electronic items should be placed at the curb in a recycle bin. There is no charge to dispose of the small electronic items.
For electronic items, which are 19" or larger, a bulk permit in the amount of $10.00 is required. The large items must be scheduled and paid for at least one business day in advance. Please contact Borough Hall or tune into Cable Channel 22 if you have any questions.
Large items such as household furniture, appliances, box springs and mattresses, to name a few, require a special bulk permit, which can be purchased at Borough Hall. These items CANNOT be placed out with your regular trash. These items are collected on the 1st, 2nd, and 5th Wednesday of each month.
